I enjoyed the analysis and the comments on Zelda not being able to use the master sword I don’t feel like is true. 🤔 in top down Zelda a link to the past has link hand off the sword to a couple of smiths to upgrade it, they would have to hold the Master Sword, In wind waker a nameless boy and a newly discovered Zelda wield her and heck in skyward sword Girihim can just take the white sword from your hands. I honestly don’t think Fi cares about who holds her so long as you’re not a dick. I feel like it’s just that the reincarnation of the hero is the only person with permission to wake her up from her pedestal nap.

The thing with bones built into walls in real life is actually not a sign of grim and gruesome times, but a way of honoring the dead. As seen in places like Portugal, charnels, these bone chapels, were conceived to deal with overly crowded churchyard cemeteries. There was reverence in keeping your body close to or within the structure of church. So, monks would dig up the bones of the deceased and make them into chapels for meditation on death. Some are even super elaborate, such as one with bone garlands and a chandelier. So, perhaps the victors of the Hylian civil war took the bones of the slaughtered and created their own charnel-like section of the shadow temple, which we know is connected to the cemetery, and it was a similar place to reflect on death. I recommend Caitlin Doughty's video "Let's Visit the Churches Made of Human Skulls." She takes a tour into a few Portuguese charnels. That video is my source of information.

If you think about how big the map maybe could be, then this entry could take way longer to play through than Links Awakening for example, following the map size trend of BotW.

I kinda think that Link might be playable later on in the game. Maybe we have to switch between Zelda and this weird dimension. A bit like in A Link Between Worlds.

If this is based on the map of a Link to the Past, I wonder where the jungle area from the trailer will be.

Just thought of something. I’m certain at some point, someway or somehow, Zelda will be able to summon echoes of Link and have him fight for her. You read it here first, I’d bet money on it 😂

What if the first act you are traditional link, saving Zelda and Hyrule. Then everything unfolds like it does in the trailer and then Zelda’s story takes place

My understanding of the Zelda series is that only the daughter of the royal family is able to inherent the throne, this makes me think of they r probably cousins (the royal family was wiped out and most likely family members were given titles like captain of the guard) the interaction between cousins is very similar. They may have grown up together and then were told of their title status and forced to interact accordingly.

Anybody else just realize that they have a 3d rendered version of (at least in part) a link to the past? Could it hint to an eventual LTTP remake??

I’ll never forget my first wall master experience in OOT, I was watching my brother run down the twisted hall in the Forrest temple just to get jump scared by this giant ass hand (I can’t remember how old I was but couldn’t have been older than 5 😭😭😭). Those fucking things were so terrifying that when I played through oot I refused to play through the Forrest temple I’d either have my brother do it or I’d stop before I got there. I thought I saw the scariest thing ever… Then Twilight Princess came out, when I was 6 and as someone with arachnophobia, might I just say… Holy fuck the Forrest Temple, and Temple of Time need to be burnt to the god damn ground. Nope, I thought I saw the scariest thing ever, but nah, seeing those giant ass spider slide down their webs was the scariest thing to me as a child, you can fuck right the fuck off game. Weirdly enough it’s one of my favorite Zelda games and the spiders weren’t nearly as bad when I replayed through it on the Wii U but they can still fuck right off, Zelda out here giving kids PTSD.

Actually there was a Maku tree in the Oracle games so it’s plausible that this could be that one *or* the Deku tree, but it could also be inferred that between the Imprisoning War and now, that the Deku tree had regrown after Ganondorf poisoned and killed it in OoT

Imagine if this was in the game MPC telling link that entering a house without permission I should speak to your parents. That breakable entrance in front of Lake Hylia is present in ALttP. I suspect they're going to merge the ALttP world with some BotW locations. The mountain on the right could be death mountain and the mountain on the left could be Hebra (though not icey or the mountainous region that makes up the Rito Village area. There appears to be a larger tree area behind Hyrule Castle which would align with the Lost Woods as depicted in BorW. Kakariko wouldn't be to the left, it would be on the right in BotW. The area on the left look like cubed blocks, a bit like big quarry stone. Which is a little reminiscent of Breah of Demise in the sense that it is very quarry like in its rock texture.

The Lost Woods is still visible between the mountains on the right and the mountains on the left. At least it appears to be.

I hope this game contains 2 adventures in one: you beat the game as Link, free Zelda, and then play the next part of the adventure as Zelda.

Speaking on the Ghirahim-Fi possibility with the rod- would that not be Ganon's weapon that causes all of this in the first place? One copies and creates the other steals and destroys.

Three minor corrections: 18:20 I believe that would be more of a brazier than a torch. Torches are primarily a single piece of wood. 23:19 That is a seagull, not a crow. It has a stereotypical coloration for a seagull, and, you know, crows are black. 28:07 That is a wind device, not a spotlight. Its nozzle is just like the ones blowing earlier in the video, and the emission from the one she copied is not uniform like a beam of light.
